Common Questions
-
We offer clients the ability to meet once every 3 months in order to stay on top of any changes or potential changes to their financial plan. All clients are different and have the ability to schedule meetings based on their preferences and needs.
-
There are no limits to how many meetings we have throughout the year. Life happens! There will be life events and periods of time when more financial advice is needed and we make ourselves available for that time. Normally we spend more time with clients in the first year of working together, around the end of the year, and during tax season.
-
Yes, as an additional service (and fee) we do prepare tax returns for clients only.
-
You would start by scheduling a complementary Introductory Call / Meeting where we would discuss your needs and determine if our services would add enough value. It only makes sense to hire a financial advisor -- or any professional -- if the value they provide exceeds the fee being charged. In other words, the time and effort saved by hiring an expert + the tax savings (and potentially increased investment returns) need to exceed the fees being charged…in our opinion.
-
New clients pay the first quarterly fee of $600 by debit card/checking account upon signing the financial planning agreement. After the onboarding phase is complete and accounts are opened/transferred, the asset management fees are deducted from the investment account quarterly in arrears going forward. The fees are calculated based on account values of the last business day of each calendar quarter.
-
The asset management fee is billed on assets that we have discretionary trading authority over, which does NOT include your 401k. Any assets held in a brokerage account, IRA, Custodial, or 529 that we manage would be included in this calculation.
